Case study · Ramlsys · Built with AI

Every building's energy rating, in one place.

Ramlsys gives councils, housing associations and public sector estate managers one picture of EPC ratings, retrofit measures and energy improvement programmes across an entire building portfolio.

01

Challenge

Public sector estates have a 2035 net-zero target and a building stock that spans decades. Knowing where every building stands, its EPC band, what has been done to it and what it would take to move it up a band, usually lives across spreadsheets, PDFs and the memory of whoever ran the last capital programme.

02

Approach

We built Ramlsys using AI-assisted development rather than writing every line by hand, which is how we turned it around so quickly. It holds all of that in one place. Sites, buildings and measures sit in a clear hierarchy, each building anchored to its UPRN so it lines up with Ordnance Survey, VOA and government datasets. EPC certificates are fetched automatically from the government register, with the current and potential band, SAP score and recommended measures for every property, and re-fetched when a new certificate is lodged after a retrofit. Measures are logged per building, and buildings group into projects for Warm Homes Plan submissions and capital programme bids. It is multi-tenant from the ground up, so each organisation's estate is kept fully separate.

03

Outcome

An estate team can see the achievable improvement for every building, track every retrofit against it, and report on a programme in the shape a funding bid needs, from one system rather than a folder of spreadsheets.

Let’s work together.
